Shands General offers full-service off-premise catering across Suffolk County's South Shore. Whether you need a simple drop-off lunch for the office or a fully staffed dinner with linens, bar service, and breakdown, we build the experience around your occasion, your space, and your guests.

Every off-premise catering order is different. Tell us what your event needs and we'll put together the right combination:

Drop-off

Food delivered hot and ready, packaged for easy self-service. The right call for office lunches, casual office celebrations, and smaller gatherings where you want quality without the overhead.

Staffed service

Professional servers and bartenders on-site for the full duration of your event. You focus on your guests — we handle the floor.

Full setup and breakdown

We arrive early, set the room, and leave it exactly as we found it. Nothing for you to manage before or after.

Rentals

Need linens, equipment, florals, decor, or serving pieces? We coordinate directly with our vetted vendor partners and bundle everything into a single proposal, so you're dealing with one point of contact instead of three.

  • We don't publish a hard minimum — every event is different. Reach out and Julian will let you know if we're the right fit for your occasion and put together a proposal from there.

  • Our off-premise catering starts with the same seasonal, locally sourced kitchen you'd find at Shands General — but there's room to get creative. Share your vision with Julian when you inquire and we'll loop in our chef to build something around your occasion. The menu is a starting point, not a ceiling.

  • Yes. Include your guests' dietary needs in your inquiry and we'll build the menu around them.

  • Yes. Staffed bar service with cocktails, wine, and beer is available for off-premise events. We'll walk you through any venue licensing requirements when we connect.

  • We recommend reaching out at least 3–4 weeks before your event, and 8–12 weeks for larger events or peak dates. Holidays, June, and September book quickly — the earlier you contact Julian, the better.
